What Is Live Healthy Washington? Live Healthy Washington is part of a national program called Live Healthy America (LHA). It is a nationwide, Web-based, and support driven wellness program designed to help participants make positive and lasting changes over the course of 100 days. It is a fun, team-based, health and fitness challenge designed to jump start healthy habits that will help adults feel better, look better and live longer, healthier lives. Families, communities, and worksites can join in the efforts of living a healthier lifestyle at http://www.livehealthyamerica.org/. Throughout the 100 Day Challenge, LHA will empower thousands of Americans to experience the simplicity, power and success of making small changes to live healthier. Teams of 2-10 adults register to participate in the accumulated Minutes of Activity Division and/or the Weight Loss Division and spend the next 100 days motivating and supporting each other to move more and eat healthier. Teams receive weekly information about physical activity, nutrition, and healthy living to create lasting changes. Use the on-line journal to track your progress and achievements and visit the news center to get current health topic coverage. A fun, interactive website will help participants who join the 100 Day Challenge stay motivated each day with nutrition and fitness resources and give them the opportunity to win great prizes and incentives. LHA will also introduce participants to online resources such as personalized meal plans, customized workouts, video exercise demonstrations, iPod downloads, and calorie charts that have helped thousands of people achieve positive, lasting results.
